About Velavan Care Home

Velavan Care Home, established through the Velavan Public Welfare Trust, is located in the Theni District, Periyakulam Taluk, amidst the naturally rich surroundings of Kumbakkarai Falls and Sothuparai. Nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats, this care home is situated below the Sothuparai Dam region and the lower areas of Kumbakkarai–Kodaikanal, making it a place blessed with exceptional natural beauty.
This location itself is a great boon to the Theni District. Velavan Care Home is conveniently located about one kilometer from the Periyakulam Bus Stand, on the Kumbakkarai Road, and is surrounded by nearly 1,000 trees.
The residents, especially senior citizens, benefit from an environment filled with pure natural oxygen, thanks to the lush greenery. The campus is surrounded by banana trees, coconut trees, jackfruit, guava, teak, and many other varieties—nearly 50 different types of trees in total.
Situated at the heart of this rich natural ecosystem, Velavan Care Home proudly stands as a nature-oriented haven and a remarkable gift of nature, offering a peaceful, healthy, and dignified living environment for the elderly.
